Call to Worship:
Leader: The love of God is more splendid than purple mountain majesties.
People: God's word of grace fills the spacious skies.
Leader: The amber waves of grain remind us of God's abundant care.
People: Above the fruited plain is God's eternal joy in all who follow the paths of truth.
Leader: In every nation, in every heart, God is at work for good.
People: Our songs will rise! Let God's praise be heard from sea to shining sea!
Invocation
EXAMPLE adapted from "This is My Song" Lloyd Stone & Georgia Harkness
This is our song, O God of all the nations. We gather in prayer, in praise and worship today mindful of our place in time and in history as people of faith in this country, the United States of America.
Our country's skies are bluer than the ocean and sunlight beams on cloverleaf and pine; but other lands have sunlight, too and clover, and skies are everywhere blue beyond compare. So hear our song, O God of all the nations, a song of peace for every land and for ours.
This is our prayer, O Ruler of all nations, let your reign come, on earth your will be done. In peace, may we all draw together. With hearts united, learn to live as one. Oh hear our prayer, God of all the nations, as we pray together, "Our Father, Which art in heaven..."

Morning Prayer
EXAMPLE: Prayer of St. Francis
- Lord, make us instruments of your peace.
- Where there is hatred, let us sow love.
- Where there is injury, pardon.
- Where there is doubt, faith.
- Where there is despair, hope.
- Where there is darkness, light.
- Where there is sadness, joy.
- O Divine Master,
- grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console;
- to be understood, as to understand;
- to be loved, as to love.
- For it is in giving that we receive.
- It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
- and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
- Amen.
