Theme: "Nap Time-Rested Bodies"
We ponder how we soothe ourselves and become secure enough to rest in God's love. Security in who we are as children of God allows us to relax and be refreshed. There is a wisdom in this.
Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-8, 21-26
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own insight.
6 In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
8 It will be a healing for your flesh
and a refreshment for your body.
21 My child, do not let these escape from your sight:
keep sound wisdom and prudence,
22 and they will be life for your soul
and adornment for your neck.
23 Then you will walk on your way securely
and your foot will not stumble.
24 If you sit down,[a] you will not be afraid;
when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.
25 Do not be afraid of sudden panic,
or of the storm that strikes the wicked;
26 for the Lord will be your confidence
and will keep your foot from being caught.

Call to Worship from Matthew 11:28-30, The Message
Leader: Hear this invitation from Jesus: “Are you tired? Worn out? Frazzled?
Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life."
People: From Jesus we can learn how to take a real rest.
Leader: Christ calls us, saying: "Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it."
People: We will watch Christ and learn the unforced rhythms of grace.
Leader: Jesus promises, "I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.
Keep company with me
and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
People: We will work and worship, play and rest in you, Oh Christ.

Michael, we have done this before but not recently. If need be we could do a congregational run through in Announcements. It fits the theme perfectly, though, so if we can use it at all, would be great. Otherwise, sub in #38 Give Thanks. Just let Tracie know if you change it, by Thursday evening.
